The Divine Cave
The Diva Guhava, mentioned in Buddhist texts as the “Day Cave,” is a significant cave system located in Sudagala, about 6km from Kuruwita in Sri Lanka’s Sabaragamuwa Province.
In Buddhist tradition, this cave is revered as the resting place of the Buddha after he left his footprint on Sri Pada, before continuing his journey to Dighavapi.
